Shopping Green Can Save You Money

It may be easier than many people know to improve the environment and the economy–including their own.

As more people become aware of the importance of protecting the environment, they are choosing green products. Buying environmentally friendly products typically meant you had to spend more, but at Marcal, they believe you shouldn’t have to pay more, that you can do your part to help protect the environment without hurting your budget.

To help you make a difference, Green Mom blogger Beth Aldrich suggests these tips and household products:

  • Use recycled paper towels to clean up countertop messes. Towels such as those made by Marcal contain no chlorine, no dyes and no fragrances, and they are virtually lint-free. Recycled products save the environment.
  • Take a small step and swap your toilet paper for a recycled brand. If every family switched just one roll of regular bath tissue for one recycled roll, together, Americans could help save 1 million trees.
  • If you get the sniffles, be kind to your nose and the environment. Pocket a pack of 100 percent recycled facial tissues.

One small paper company from New Jersey is trying to change the way we think about paper products. Marcal takes making paper products responsibly and believes that conserving our natural resources can make a difference in the future for all of us. Marcal has been committed to making paper from recycled paper–not trees–since 1950.

Their Small StepsĀ® line of 100 percent recycled paper products includes bath tissues, napkins, paper towels and facial tissues, and is manufactured with the best interests of their customers and the Earth in mind. And because they’ve been perfecting the paper manufacturing process since 1950, they are able to bring you the strength, absorbency and softness you and your family deserve at a good price.

Whatever inspires you to make a difference, using environmentally friendly products is a small step that can make a big change for the planet.
