A litter of puppies that grow up in an environment dominated by humans are bound to be more amicable than puppies reared away from a human setting. Human contact over a consistent period with puppies foster the development of well mannered puppies. Training your puppies to obey your command is a vital part of a dog’s life.

Moving Date:

You need to make sure that you move a puppy to its permanent home before it is eight weeks old or else getting it to move will be hard. Puppies have to first acclimatize themselves to a particular home before any form of training starts. Puppies are usually afraid of new things when they are between ten and twelve weeks old and need to be taken to a new home before the to prevent ant fear.

The Learning Theory:

The learning theory is a dog training premise that inculcates four basic messages; reward marker, the keep going signal, the no reward marker and the punishment marker. The dog you are handling in training needs to be clear about each message you send out for it to respond favorably.

You can reward your dog for exhibiting desirable behavior anyhow you want. Some dog owners reward their dogs by using effusive praise. Some dog handlers may decide to reward a dog by giving it a treat such as biscuit bone.

Clear Communication:

Make sure that your dog understands your language clearly. Don’t praise it for a particular act and then scold it for doing the same thing later on or you will confuse it. Remember that a dog learns by associating or linking things and be careful about how you act in front of your dog.

Tools:

Some training gadgets are designed with the size of the dog in mind. Some huge dogs have such thick necks that some collars would be a miserable fit on. If you have a particularly large dog, a pronged collar will be good for it.

Dogs that are large have their own special dog training tools. It is vital that you use the right training tool for the right dog so that things will not go wrong. Ensure that your dog is not being trained under pressure or else you won’t get the best out of it.

Patience:

It requires a lot of patience to train a dog. Training a dog involves repeating a particular command until the dog gets it. If you don’t have enough patience to train your dog, turn it over to a dog trainer.
